We finally had a few days to go away in Dorothy.  Things never go to plan, but thats ok.  We had always wanted to visit the giant crown at Hazelbank..  It was erected to mark the new King and opened by the very man himself.  Hazel bank is just outside Belfast and is a popular place for walkers and doggy people.
When we had finished at Hazelbank, we drove to our park up for the night at Ballyholm.  In the morning after all the usual chores were completed we drove to the carpark at Donaghdee.  The town wasnt overly busy and we had a relaxing cup of tea and a scone before heading around the corner to the shoe shop..  I had always fancied trying Daft Eddies so when we had finished our window shopping we headed to the commons to do our services.   Unfortunately the machine took our coin but didn't give out any fresh water.  Thankfully a stop at the loacl garage allowed us to fill our tank.
We arrived at Daft Eddies around 18:30 hrs so just nice time for tea.  We spoke to the girl at reception and she had no problem with us staying overnight in the car park.  We both had Guinness pie for tea. Lorraine sweet potato fries and I had chips.  It was very nice.  The following day was beautiful and we just had to go for a walk.   A local dog walker pointed us in the right direction for a lovely stroll.
There was a carpark visible from Daft Eddys and we decided to check it out.  The car park was on a bit of a slope but it also had lovely toilets.
This was really our first few nights away in Dorothy and except for a few tweaks we were totally happy with how it had all gone.
